Leicester City star N’Golo Kante has been offered to Real Madrid, according to Spanish source AS.
The France international has a £ 19.8 million release clause and has been linked with a number of big clubs after impressing during the Foxes’ surprising Premier League title run.
With another busy season ahead, the 25-year-old will bring further defensive cover to the team alongside Casemiro, who’s Real’s only true defensive midfielder.
Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been open with his praise for the France international, who joined Leicester from Ligue 1 side Caen last summer for only £6.75 million, comparing him to Claude Makelele.
The report also claims any bid for Kante would not prevent a summer move for Paul Pogba. The Juventus star has been linked with a move to Los Blancos, but the Old Lady are said to be holding out for a transfer fee between £93 million and £124 million.
Meanwhile, Leicester City have made an £11 million for Burnley defender Michael Keane as they look to bolster their squad ahead of defending their Premier League crown next season, according to ESPN.
The 23-year-old provided five goals and three assists in 46 appearances for the newly promoted club last season, after joining Burnley in January 2015 from Manchester United for £1.9 million.
