Kolo Toure arrived at Anfield, well past his prime years, at the age of 32. He was signed as a backup centre-back, but during his three years at the club, he achieved a cult status of sorts.
The veteran defender was always committed on the pitch and provided some memorable performances during his time with the Merseysiders. He ended the season on a high with his commendable performance in the Europa League final defeat to Sevilla
Today, the news broke that the Reds have decided against offering a new contract to the 35-year-old and he is expected to be released from the club today.
