Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirms he’s joining Manchester United

A report by The Guardian earlier this week claimed Manchester United were close to signing the Sweden superstar, who left PSG after winning yet another Ligue 1 title while to win the Champions League.

Ibrahimovic was linked with a summer transfer all season long and decided against extending his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, making himself a free agent during the transfer market.

The Sweden international wanted to wait until after Euro 2016 to make his next club public. With Sweden eliminated from the tournament on Wednesday after losing 1-0 to Belgium, it was just waiting for Ibrahimovic to finally make his move. According to the report, United are going to pay Ibrahimovic £220,000 per week and that the 34-year-old striker.

Jose Mourinho is attempting to improve his squad after replacing Louis van Gaal and has already signed Eric Bailly from Villarreal. Meanwhile, Manchester United have submitted a £30 million bid to Borussia Dortmund for Henrirkh Mkhitaryan, with the German club’s chief executive Hans – Joachim Watzke confirming that offer is under serious consideration, as reported by The Guardian.

A decision as to whether or not to accept that offer is set to be made by the Dortmund board before the club’s players reconvene for pre-season training at the start of next week, according to Watzke.
