Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi has been approached by Napoli, according to the reports in Italy.
Sky Italia claims that the Naples club have identified the Argentinean striker to replace his compatriot Gonzalo Higuain, who is Juventus-bound.
The report adds that Napoli’s chairman, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is meeting representatives from Inter in Verona to discuss the possible signing of the 23-year-old. The Naples club have reportedly put forward an offer of around £34 million for the Inter striker. However, the Nerazzurri value their player at £46 million.
Nevertheless, Napoli will have no shortage of cash after agreeing to sell Higuain to Juventus for a reported fee of £79 million. Icardi has also been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Arsenal seemed to have shifted their attention towards Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez. During the last couple of days, multiple reports have emerged suggesting that the Gunners are interested in the Algeria international.
However, it appears that Mahrez is not leaving the Foxes anytime soon. The 25-year-old was picture today leaving for the Foxes’ pre-season US tour.

This clearly suggests that Mahrez’s exit from the King Power Stadium is not as imminent as the multiple reports have claimed this week.
