Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers couldn’t have imagined a worse start to his time with the Scottish giants.
The Celts suffered an embarrassing 1-0 defeat in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier with Gibraltar minnows Lincoln Red Imps last night.
The game, which was Rodgers’ first professional game in charge of the Celts, was considered to be a piece of cake for the Scottish club. However, it turned out to be one of the most embarrassing results in the career of Rodgers.
Twitter had quite a field day at the expanse of the former Liverpool manager.
Lincoln Red Imps fans singing ‘sacked in the morning’ to Brendan Rodgers is an early contender for highlight of the season..
