Chelsea want Lazio star to replace Juventus-bound winger

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has taken no time to set the wheels in motion in the transfer market following his arrival at Stamford Bridge.

Italian website Gianluca di Marzio claims that the Italian manager has seemed to have approved winger Juan Cuadrado’s move to Juventus on a permanent deal.

The Colombia international spent last season on loan at the Turin club after failing to impress for Chelsea in the second half of the 2014-2015 season following his move from Fiorentina in January 2015.

Serie A champions have time and time again expressed their intent to sign the 28-year-old on a permanent deal.

Conte has also identified Lazio winger Antonio Candreva to replace Turin-bound Cuadrado. The 29-year-old was a part of the Italy national team for Euro2016 and is highly regarded by Conte.

He was also a prime target for Napoli, but the Naples club have reportedly cooled their interest in him after signing Emanuele Giaccherini from Sunderland.

The Italy international has scored double-digit goals for Lazio in each of the last three Serie A seasons.
