Sunderland were able to stay up in the Premier League with a late run of two wins and three draws in their last five league matches, outplaying Norwich City and Newcastle United.

The Black Cats and new coach David Moyes want to avoid another difficult season and have been on the lookout for players that can add quality to their squad.

According to a report by The Sun, Moyes wants to sign Marouane Fellaini for a third time by bringing the Manchester United midfielder to the Stadium of Light.

The former United manager brought the Belgium international to Everton in a £18.5 million deal in 2008, before bringing him to Old Trafford in a £27.5 million deal in 2013.

The 28-year-old flopped at United and Moyes was sacked, but now the latter one is ready to give his former player a new chance in the Premier League. The Black Cats are hoping a bid of around £13 million could be enough to secure Fellaini’s services.

Meanwhile, Moyes is also keen on the signing of that other Belgian at United – Adnan Januzaj. He handed the 21-year-old his first full United debut at the Stadium of Light back in 2013 and has been a fan ever since. According to a report by the Daily Mail, Januzaj is available on loan, with Sunderland ready to make a move.

In addition, the Black Cats are interested in signing £20 million-rated Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio, claims Portuguese source Record.
