Manchester United fans go crazy about the latest transfer news on Paul Pogba

According to multiple reports, as this one by The Guardian, Manchester United will offer Juventus £100 million for the services of France international Paul Pogba.

The proposal is to be made jointly by the Red Devils and Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola after Euro 2016 has concluded, as the midfielder will face Germany in the semi-finals on Thursday.

The reported transfer fee would not only shatter the world transfer record set by Real Madrid, who paid £86 million for Gareth Bale in 2013, it would also be for a player who left Manchester United on a free transfer in 2012 after a dispute with then boss Alex Ferguson.

Juventus recently offered Pogba a new contract, which would extend his current deal – until 2019 – for a further two years and increase his wages from £4.3 million to £6 million a year.

However, United are also preparing a massive wage offer, which would translate to a staggering £11.1 million per season for a five-year contract. That would essentially be trebling his current salary in Turin.

Juventus have made it clear they are not indending to sell their 22-year-old star, but could be tempted by the thought of selling a player back to his former club at a huge profit.

Not surprisingly, United fans went crazy on Twitter when they heard about the news:
