Juan Mata must be one of the unluckiest footballers in the world. The Spaniard was in the best form of his life when Jose Mourinho took charge of Chelsea in 2013. However, the Portuguese manager found Mata to be unsuitable to his playing philosophy and sold him to Manchester United.
Now after two years with the Manchester club, the 28-year-old fins himself in the similar territory once again. Various reports have suggested that Mourinho will once again dispose of Mata in the transfer window and now, according to latest reports, the Spain international is set to join Everton in a £20.9 million move.
Flora Moussy, a journalist for French news outlet Infosport+, has claimed that Mata will be leaving United to join Ronald’s Koeman side in the summer.
She has also added that United’s new-signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic will don United’s number 8 jersey, which belonged to Mata up until now, next season.
