Massive exodus expected at Manchester United

Following the imminent arrival of Paul Pogba from Juventus, one could expect a massive exodus of players from Manchester United, according to Daily Mail.

The report claims that as many as nine players could leave United in the coming days. German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is expected to be the biggest causality of Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Old Trafford.

The 31-year-old arrived was signed by former manager Louis Van Gaal from Bayern Munich last summer. However, his debut season in Premier League was plagued with injuries and he failed to make the expected impact.

He was expected to return to first-team following his recovery from injury but has been told by Mourinho to train with the Under-21 squad.

Besides Schweinsteiger, eight other first-team players have been told that they don’t feature in Mourinho’s first-team plans for the next season. The list includes the likes of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Tim Fosu-Mensah, Adnan Januzaj, Will Keane, Tyler Blackett and Paddy McNair.

Meanwhile, James Wilson and Andreas Pereira have been advised to go out on loan moves to gain first-team experience.
