Arsenal have been linked with a move for West Ham defender Sam Byram by Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb.

The report claims that the North London club have identified the 22-year-old as a long-term replacement of Hector Bellerin, who is a summer target of Barcelona.

The Catalan club are looking to replace Dani Alves, who recently joined Juventus, with Bellerin. However, it’s very unlikely that Arsenal will let the Spanish international leave in the summer. Bellerin, who was selected in the Premier League Team of the Year last season, has a contract until 2019 with the Gunners.

Byram, who joined the Hammers from Leeds United in January, has a deal that lasts until 2020 with his club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have turned down an approach from Juventus for forward Alexis Sanchez, according to Daily Mail. The Turin club have been linked with the Chilean international for quite some time now, but the Gunners have made it clear to the Serie A champions that they have no desire to sell Sanchez.

The report claims that Old Lady have now turned their attention towards Bayer Leverkusen forward Javier Hernandez.
