At the moment, Paul Pogba’s move to Manchester United is dominating all the football headlines. After days of speculation, the Juventus midfielder is yet to formally join United, but multiple reports have suggested that the world-record move is bound to happen sooner rather than later.
Now, United manager Jose Mourinho has previously suggested that Pogba might be United’s last signing summer, but the latest report from the Times suggest otherwise.
The Sunday Times has claimed that United are planning to sign one more player following the arrival of Pogba, and that signing will be a defensive one.
The Portuguese manager has already signed Eric Baily from Villarreal, but he is looking to further strengthen his defence ahead of the new season. United have reportedly identified Zenit’s Ezequiel Garay, Southampton’s Jose Fonte and Juve’s Leonardo Bonucci as possible options for their next signing.
Out the mentioned options, Bonucci is expected to cost most to the Red Devils with a possible fee of £60 million suggested by the report. Meanwhile, Marcus Rojo, who arrived from from Sporting Lissabon in the summer of 2014, is expected to depart Old Trafford this summer.
