Pep Guardiola takes a dig at Manchester United

Manchester City continued their impressive start to the season with an emphatic 4-0 win over Bournemouth at Etihad Stadium today.

The Citizens are the only side left in the league to have a perfect record this season.

City were without the likes of Sergio Aguero and David Silva for today’s game, but their attacking prowess was still on display for everyone to see.

Belgian Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring for City while young striker Kelechi Iheanacho doubled the lead before the half-time.

Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan completed the scoreline in the second half.

Now, the Cherries were completely outplayed in the game, and could manage only two shots on target.
However, Guardiola had some nice words to say about Eddie Howe’s side in his post-match conference. One could say that the Spaniard was also taking a dig at Jose Mourinho’s United.

Guardiola suggested that the Cherries were the best attacking team he has faced this season, while all the others have used long ball approach

Clearly this was a dig at United, whom City defeated 2-1 at Old Trafford last weekend.
