Crystal Palace vs Swansea City predictions and betting tips

Pointless Crystal Palace will host Swansea City at Selhurst Park on Saturday. The Eagles have suffered 0-3 and 0-1 defeats to Huddersfield and Liverpool respectively and currently sit joint-bottom at the table. Swansea have also struggled on the scoring front this season as they started the season with a goalless draw against Southampton and followed that up with the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United.

Eagles boss Frank de Boer is under immense pressure to put points on the board and anything other than a win against the Swans will only increase his problems. The Swans are in a bit of a pickle themselves and have found it hard to score goals. Striker Fernando Llorente has missed the opening two games and he could return against Palace. The Spaniard’s return to fitness would be a huge boost for Paul Clement’s side, who are also reeling from Gylfi Sigurdsson’s departure to Everton. The Swans have stayed away from spending heavily in the market up until now, but they will be looking to reinvest the money from Sigurdsson’s sale in the last few days of the window.

Both sides did register wins in their respective League Cup fixtures during midweek. The Eagles defeated Ipswich 2-1 at home while the Swans claimed an emphatic 4-1 victory at MK Dons.

Last season, the Swans did the double over Palace and registered a 1-2 win in the corresponding fixture.

Crystal Palace vs Swansea City – Team News

The hosts will be without a number of key players on Saturday. Wilfried Zaha, Bakary Sako, Connor Wickham and Papa Souare will miss the game with injuries. Summer-signing Jaïro Riedewald is also a doubt for the game.

For the visitors, Fernando Llorente and Leon Britton could feature but Ki Sung Yeung and Nathan Dyer will miss out.
