Napoli are yet to make an offer for Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, according to his agent Nico Vaesen, while adding that the 30-year-old is waiting on a concrete approach from the Serie A side before the end of the transfer window.
Mignolet has been relegated from first to third-choice keeper at Anfield over the last 12 months, and is thought to be keen on a move away from Merseyside following the arrival of Alisson Becker from Roma.
Napoli have been linked with Mignolet and are thought to be looking to add an experienced goalkeeper to their squad following the departure of former Reds man Pepe Reina to league rivals Milan.
Vaesen, however, said that the Italians have yet to make a bid, telling Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli: “We will wait over the next few days to see if they will present an offer.
“Considering that the market will close in a few days, I imagine that we will have to do it soon if we want to make a deal everyone will agree to.”
According to Vaesen, Napoli have previously inquired about the goalkeeper’s availability.
“The interest is not new. Napoli like Mignolet.
“They have previously enquired about his availability in other transfer windows. This will not be the last word on a move to them.”
