Alex Sandro has ended transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Juventus after committing to a new deal until 2023 with the Italian champions.
Sandro, 27, signed a five-year deal with Juventus when he moved from Porto in 2015.
Since then, the left-back has made more appearances for the Bianconeri than any other defender. He has also provided the most assists.
He has scored nine goals and made 18 assists in 134 appearances for Juventus. He has won three Italian league and cup doubles with the team.
The Brazilian was reportedly a long-term target of Jose Mourinho’s during his time at Manchester United, as well as both Manchester City and Chelsea over the past 18 months.
Last month Sandro admitted he is ‘very happy’ at Juve but conceded he could be ready to leave Serie A at some point in the future.
‘I think, one day, who knows what will happen?’ he said during a press conference on Monday.
‘I have a desire to play in the Premier League but right now I am very happy where I am at, the club I am at [Juventus], the league I am playing in.’
