Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will appeal against his charge of violent conduct after being charged by the FA for allegedly elbowing West Ham defender Winston Reid during Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Old Trafford. Schweinsteiger faces a minimum of three games on the sidelines if found guilty of deliberately striking Reid in the throat.
