It looks like Liverpool fans have still not forgiven Michael Owen for joining Manchester United in the twilight of his career. The diminutive former striker, who was once a legend at Anfield, was recently appointed as the club’s first international ambassador.
As expected, the news didn’t go down well with the club fans.

@LFC read the comments. Nobody wants him anywhere near our club. Can’t he become a racehorse ambassador or something?
— James Sutton (@thejamessutton) April 21, 2016
@thejamessutton @LFC awful decision. If you looked at his Twitter profile you’d think he was a jockey. No mention of football or Liverpool.
