Anthony Martial’s move from Monaco to Manchester United looks as though it is close to completion after the young forward was spotted arriving at the club’s Carrington training complex to undergo a medical ahead of Tuesday’s 6pm deadline.
The 19-year-old has emerged as a shock target for the Red Devils with various reports citing fees from everywhere between €30m to €80m.
Many United fans had never even head of the player before, and the move is coming straight out of left field, but the reports have substance to them after all when the France youth international was pictured arriving in Manchester on Monday evening.
Following Javier Hernandez’s move to Bayer Leverkusen on Monday, United are desperate to fill the gap left by the Mexican. This is especially the case after they allowed Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie to move on earlier in the summer.
