Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be monitoring the availability of young Barcelona starlet Sergio Roberto, according to Spanish football daily AS.
Spurs are said to be among the teams keeping tabs on the 21-year-old, although they may face competition from La Liga side Espanyol, who are also showing an interest.
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is rumoured to be a keen admirer of Roberto after watching Barcelona B in between his dismissal as Chelsea boss and his appointment at White Hart Lane last season.
Roberto’s agent, Josep Maria Orobitg, is said to have offers on the table from several clubs, with the La Masia graduate keen to find regular top level football as he enters his prime.
That could come in north London as Villas-Boas looks to add to his options in central midfield.
