Loan star Gerard Deulofeu has confirmed that he wishes to return to his parent club Barcelona when his season long loan to Everton comes to an end in the summer, Sky
The 19 year old winger joined the Toffees from the Spanish Champions in the summer and has had an impressive campaign at Goodison Park so far when available.
However the teenager, who has made 15 Premier League appearances and scored two goals so far, has admitted that he is eager to return to the Nou Camp in order to fight for a place amongst their star studded first XI.
Speaking to Catalunya Radio Deulofeu said: “I am working every day to get back to Barcelona next season, I watch all their matches and believe that they are having a good season.
“My dream is to find a place in the Barcelona attacking line-up and to do that I am progressing in the Premier League.
“I accepted the challenge last summer and I am happy with my decision. Now I am more mature as a person and as a footballer. Perhaps people at Barcelona do not have confidence in me, but that is normal.
“I am a young player and normally the coaches do not believe in the young players.”
Everton manager Roberto Martinez had previously said he would like to try and keep all of his current loanees on a permanent basis, but now looks set to lose out on Deulofeu, although he did acknowledge it may be a tough ask.
The club also has Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea, and Gareth Barry, Manchester City, on season long loan deals.
