Striker Papiss Cisse scored in the second half to rescue a draw for Newcastle away to Burnley tonight, reports BBC
The Clarets stretched their unbeaten run to four games in the Premier League, and took the lead after half an hour through George Boyd. The Burnley midfielder scored from outside the area to put the newly-promoted outfit ahead on manager Sean Dyche’s 100th game for the club.
But Newcastle weren’t to be denied. After the break, Papiss Cisse popped with a typically important goal to ensure the Toon Army took a share of the spoils in a gritty game at Turf Moor. Burnley have also been in fine form of late, and showcased why with Danny Ings looking threatening early on.
The draw saw them pull out of the drop zone too.
