Chelsea in talks with Fiorentina to sign Juan Cuadrado

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea and Fiorentina have held talks over a potential move that will see Juan Cuadrado join the Premier League side this month.

The 26-year-old reportedly has a £27M release clause in his contract, but reports suggested Chelsea came in with a £20M offer that was quick rejected.

Cuadrado’s agent is said to be travelling to London to negotiate a deal with the Premier League leaders, with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho looking to fund the deal by selling Mohamed Salah and Andre Schurrle this month.

The Fiorentina man shone in last summer’s World Cup for Colombia, and has been linked with a host of other clubs in the last 18 months, but could well be the newest addition for the title-chasers in the coming days if talks go well.
