Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew targeting big signings in the summer

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has said he wants the Eagles to secure a top-10 finish this season, and will be looking to make big signings in the summer to take the club forward for 2015/16, reports Sky Sports.

Crystal Palace have enjoyed an incredible turnaround under Pardew this season, and look on course to end the campaign in top-10 as a result. The Londoners have been in fine form in the second-half of the season, and have quickly been gaining ground on the sides above them the table.

They have only a handful of games left in the Premier League this season, and have it in their own hands to finish in the top-10 if they can maintain their form. Pardew is targeting a strong finish in the table, and wants to spend money in the summer to continue the club’s transformation.

While predecessor Tony Pulis left the club due to arguments of transfer funds, Pardew wants to pressure co-owner Steve Parish to release the money to allow him a summer spend on big-name players. The ex-Newcastle manager feels a lucrative investment could take the club to the next level.

“I think the most crucial thing for us is to secure a top-10 finish. That’s a realistic aim. Over the summer, I’m going to be banging the chairman’s door down for some big signings,” he said.
