Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey is targeting three wins from his side’s last five Premier League games to secure their survival in the English top-flight, reports Sky
Ramsey feels all the Londoners need to avoid the drop is three more wins, but getting the results is another question considering QPR have been in a relegation dogfight for the majority of the campaign. They host a struggling side in West Ham United, so stand a real chance of getting a result.
The Hoops need results, as they are currently two points adrift of safety, and have a difficult fixture list to come – with away clashes against Liverpool & Manchester City two of their last five. Queens Park Rangers are currently 19th in the Premier League table, and have picked up just one win in their last eight games.
Rangers have picked up three wins in a five-game period before this season, but they’re hardly in any form to deliver on such a consistent basis. However, manager Chris Ramsey is remaining positive, and is backing his side to finish strongly to secure their survival.
He said: “They are all key now in the last month. We are not really worrying about what the other teams are doing, we know we have just got to get some positive results in the next month. I’m not sure (what is needed to avoid relegation), if you win three games you are obviously going to stay up. As long as we’re above the line come the end of May, I’ll be happy.”
