Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal in principle with Turkish giants Galatasaray for the signature of unwanted Germany international Lukas Podolski, according to the Metro.
The Istanbul based side have agreed to pay a transfer fee of just £1.4m, and have offered a healthy salary of £2.2m-per-season.
The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Inter Milan, but the Serie A side opted against making his deal permanent. He has since been told that he has no future at the Emirates Stadium and to find a new club.
Furthermore, Arsene Wenger has a whole array of options up front, meaning Podolski would be in for a tough time to regain a regular first team spot.
The move could still prove divisive amongst the Gunners fans, though, as he proves to cut a popular figure.
However, his exit could spark a mass exodus with the likes of Joel Campbell and Yaya Sanogo also tipped to move on in the coming weeks.
