Arsenal are said to have tabled a £13m offer for rising Juventus star Daniele Rugani, and have been given a boost by learning that the Serie A champions are open to selling, according to the Metro.
The 20-year-old centre-back was part owned by both Juve and Empoli, where he spent last season on loan. But the Champions League finalists decided to buy him outright during the January transfer window.
And though he has yet to make an appearance or the Juventus first team, the Gunners have apparently seen enough to make an initial £10.8m bid plus an extra £2.1m in bonuses to take him off their hands.
The offer was swiftly rejected, but despite that, it is believed by Italian sports site Tuttosport that Juve could be open to cashing in on him despite having recently just turned down a loan offer from fellow Serie A side Napoli.
Rugani made 39 appearances for Empoli in all competitions last term, bagging three goals.
