Arsenal are said to be ready to sign highly-rated Belgian youngster Zakaria Bakkali as he draws closer to departing Eredivise giants PSV Eindhoven on a free transfer, according to the Metro.
The 19-year-old has been billed as one of the most exciting talents in Europe, but has been frozen out at PSV in recent months.
However, with his contract set to expire next month, he is now free to begin looking for new employers. Valencia and Liverpool have been credited with an interest, but reports in Spain are now suggesting that Arsenal are keen to bring him to north London.
And as he is set to become a free agent, the Gunners will only need to bide their time until his deal at the Philips Stadion runs down as there will be no requirement for transfer fees.
As he is under 23, a training fee of £750,000 in compensation will be required, but it is still thought that Arsene Wenger would be able to wrap up the deal quickly.
