Manchester United have been given a huge boost in their hunt for a replacement to David de Gea by being told that Ajax will allow them to sign goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to the Metro.
With Real Madrid still looking to wrap up the signing of David de Gea, United are hot on the heels of a replacement with reports claiming that Louis van Gaal have made the Dutch international one of their top priorities over the summer.
It had been hinted that United had already made a bid for the 26-year-old, but it was swiftly rejected by the Eredivisie giants, but fresh reports are claiming that Ajax are happy to sell them the player.
After initial reports suggesting that Cillessen would cost the Red Devils £25m, but they could now be encouraged to finally make their move for his signature.
Cillessen joined Ajax back in 2011, and has gone on to make 93 appearances across all competitions.
