Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan has decided that he wishes to move to Chelsea, after growing tired of the speculation linking him with Barcelona.
According to the Metro, Manchester United have previously been linked with the Turkey international, but it is now thought that only the Premier League champions and Champions League winners are in the race to sign the 28-year-old.
The Metro suggest however, that Turan he has become fed up of the Catalan side, and thus would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge.
However, the Metro add that the former Galatasaray man will only be available should the Blues trigger his £29.2m release clause.
The price seems incredibly steep for a player that possibly has just a couple of seasons left at his peak. However, he has been one of the key men in Diego Simeone’s side’s ascendency into the title race in La Liga over the past few years.
If he could prove as influential in England, then the proposed fee will prove to be justified.
