Barcelona to let Pedro join Man United after UEFA Super Cup clash

Barcelona will apparently allow winger Pedro to join Manchester United this summer, but only after they’ve faced fellow La Liga giants Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup on August 11, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

With Angel Di Maria set to join Paris Saint Germain at some point in the next few days (via Daily Express) United have been linked with a move for Pedro as his replacement.

Marca claims that coach Luis Enrique does not want to let the 27-year-old go, but after negotiating a deal in the region of €30m to €32m including add-ons, it is believed that the club are willing to overrule the Mister.

United want to bring the Spanish international on board as soon as possible, with their domestic campaign kicking off on August 8. But Barca are keen to keep hold of him until the 11th when they face Sevilla in Tiblisi.

Having accepted his desire to leave, Barca are hoping that in order to grant him his wish he will stay and play in the the club’s first final of the season.

Barca are also wary of the fitness of main men Lionel Messi and Neymar, and may need to call upon Pedro to fill in should he be needed.
