Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Copa America winning midfield star Charles Aranguiz, according to the Metro.
The 26-year-old is currently plying his trade in Brazil with Internacional, but has been tipped to make the move to Europe ever since he featured for Chile at last summer’s World Cup.
This summer, though, has seen him help his country to Copa America success on home soil, and he could now be set to follow compatriot Alexis Sanchez to London.
Arsenal had previously been linked with his signature, but reports in France are now claiming that when Marseille made an enquiry about his availability, they were told that he had already agreed to join Chelsea.
The report says Marseille are surprised and disappointed about the development, and if it is true, it will be quite impressive that the Blues managed to keep it quiet.
The Metro state that Aranguiz is valued at £16.1m by Internacional, who he has played for since 2014.
