Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani is reportedly desperate to complete a summer switch to Manchester United, according to the Metro.
And while the Ligue 1 side are against the idea of letting the 28-year-old move to Old Trafford, their stance may change if he makes his feelings very clear that he does not intend to stay at Parc des Princes.
The striker has achieved everything in France, with Laurent Blanc’s men winning the domestic treble last season, so may decide that a change of scenery may be required to further his career. The fact that he is likely to play in a central striker role, rather than out on the wing as he has done for PSG, is also likely to tempt him towards the Premier League.
His time spent out wide appears to have had very little impact on his ability in front of goal. He has scored 34 times in just 65 Ligue 1 games, so boasts the kind of strike rate that could propel the Red Devils back into the title picture.
