Real were still hoping to talk Ramos around into staying, but Spanish publication Marca are now saying that he will leave the club no matter what offer is put in front of him.

And matters haven’t been helped by news of a recent fan poll claim that the majority of Real fans want him sold to Manchester United during the transfer window.

Apparently, the relationship between himself and President Florentino Perez has been damaged beyond repair and that there is no longer a foundation of trust between the two. And with the smear campaign labelling him as a mercenary, he doesn’t think he will be able to fully get over it should he stick around.

Sky Sports have claimed that United have lodged a £28.6m offer for the Spain international, but Real are believed to be holding out for a fee closer to £63m.
