Manchester City look set to follow up the signing of Fabian Delph, by completing a £11m move for Fulham wonderkid Patrick Roberts.
According to the Telegraph,
While the 18-year-old is highly thought of at Craven Cottage, and would probably have been an important part of Kit Symons’ plans as he tries to help his incredibly young and inexperienced side back into the Premier League, the deal represents a major gamble, especially given that he could cost considerably more than the £8m the Citizens paid for Fabian Delph (via BBC Sport).
The former Aston Villa midfielder is an England international, and arguably represents a safer bet therefore, although Roberts appears to have an amazing amount of potential.
Nevertheless, the youngster has only played a handful of first-team games, and only started two matches in the Championship last season.
