Manchester United’s seemingly imminent deal to sign Pedro may be about to be scuppered, after the Daily
The Metro previously suggested that the 28-year-old had agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, and was just waiting for the two clubs to come to an arrangement regarding the fee, with the La Liga side wanting the full amount up front, while United hoped to pay the final £3.5m of the fee in bonuses.
However, it appears that the prolonged negotiations have opened the door for other parties to join the chase.
The Star suggest that the Bundesliga champions are now keen to bring the attacker to the Allianz Arena, and news of their interest has seen the Spaniard reconsider his decision as a switch to Germany would allow him the opportunity to once again link up with Pep Guardiola, who was formerly his manager at the Nou Camp.
The news is likely to anger many United fans who would have been hoping that the deal to bring the winger to Old Trafford would be completed imminently. And should it have been because of the £3.5m, that United and Barca could not quite agree on (via Metro), that Bayern were able to get their foot in the door, that anger is likely to escalate.
