Legendary midfielder Frank Lampard surprised a group of Chelsea fans attending a fan event in a New York sports bar this week by not only showing up, but delivering a most welcome message as well.
The 37-year-old was serenaded with chants of “We want our Frankie back,” to which he replied “I’ll be back”.
The news then brought a loud cheer from the attending fans, who will no doubt be rubbing their hands together with glee at the prospect of having him back at the club in a possible coaching capacity when his American adventure comes to an end.
