Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has apparently told Jose Mourinho that he is more than happy to fill in at left-back until the club manage to bring one in during the transfer window, the Daily
The 20-year-old is set to feature in the position against title rivals Manchester City this weekend having sold Felipe Luis back to Atletico Madrid last month and failing to replace him in the meantime.
But Zouma has insisted that he is happy to fill in and doesn’t mind where Mourinho plays him as they gear up to deliver an early hammer blow to City’s title hopes.
“Because I’m right-footed I have never played at left-back. It was different for me positionally so I had to learn quickly and adapt to it,” he said.
“It’s really not a problem because the boss needed me in that position and I have to give everything for the team.
“They were good experiences for me because I played the games and I always want to be on the pitch enjoying myself. I’m feeling very well.”
Chelsea have been circling the signature of Augsburg full-back Abdul Baba Rahman, only to hit a stumbling block on his £21m fee.
In turn, The Blues are also looking at Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam, who would be available for around £11m.
