Five possible replacements for Roy Hodgson as the NEXT England manager

With news breaking on Thursday claiming that England boss Roy Hodgson faces the sack should his side fail to replicate their form in qualifying at France 2016, speculation has been rife over who his replacement could be.

However, unlike most years when there’s a changing of the guard at St. George’s Park, there is no clear favourite to take over the reigns.

With that in mind we’ve picked who we feel are the five most likely candidates for the job, highlighting exactly why they’d be so suited to the position.

Gareth Southgate

Young, bright and currently in charge of the under-21s. His work behind the scenes of the English game has earned him a lot of respect, however, that was all in danger of being undone this summer following a poor showing at this summer’s Euros. During his playing days he managed to collect 57 caps for the Three Lions, so is well aware of what is required at international level. Inexperienced, but will no doubt be spoken to about the role.

How likely will he be appointed: 6/10
