Man United reportedly have deal in place to sign international shot stopper

Manchester United reportedly have a deal in place to bring Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen to the club, according to journalist Mark Ogden (via the Metro).

The Dutch international has been consistently linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer as doubts over David de Gea’s future continue to grow.

And according to Ogden, a deal between the two clubs is already in place and the 26-year-old will make his way to Manchester before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

The claim was made on radio station SIRIUS XM during a part of their show Beyond the Pitch, with host Pilib de Brun tweeting about Ogden’s suggestion once the show had ended.

Cillessen’s arrival would most likely mark him out as a replacement for Victor Valdes, who is expected to head for Besiktas this week, and would likely preceded de Gea’s departure to Real Madrid.
