Manchester United target Pedro has dropped a huge hint that he could be playing in the Premier League this season, after speaking about his future, the Metro
The 28-year-old has come through the ranks at Barcelona, and has spent the last seven years in the first-team. Nevertheless, he conceded that the time may be right to move on when he was asked whether he wanted to leave the Nou Camp (via Metro).
“The answer is no, but it’s complicated for many things,” he said.
“It’s not for money, as has been said – which is another lack of respect.
“It’s a question of continuity, of minutes. I’m an ambitious player,” he added.
The Red Devils are the favourites to land the winger’s signature, but their city rivals are also thought to be in the running, according to the Metro. When asked about a specific destination, the Spaniard offered an interestingly vague response (via Metro).
“I’m calm, happy and I will always continue giving everything if I continue at this club. Manchester? Yes, there are nice challenges on all sides,” he explained.
Despite the fact that the World Cup winner has failed to break into Luis Enrique’s side on a regular basis – with Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Luis Suarez keeping him out of the team – there is no doubt that he would improve both Louis van Gaal’s and Manuel Pellegrini’s sides, having achieved so much in the game.
And judging by Pedro’s honest comments, it seems that money will not be the motivation behind a potential departure, but rather the assurances of regular game-time. Whoever can convince him that that is what he will get at their club, is likely to win the race for his signature.
