West Ham had Petr Cech to thank after his eagerness to get to a Dimitri Payet free-kick allowed Cheikhou Kouyate’s header to give the away side the lead against Arsenal.
The former Chelsea man came flying out towards the penalty spot as Payet’s delivery curled behind the Gunners’ back-line. However, as the 33-year-old dived to punch the ball away, Kouyate got to the ball first and comfortably tucked his effort into the centre of the goal to give Slaven Bilic’s men a surprise lead at the break.
