Here is Sunday’s news and gossip concerning Arsenal:
The Italy international only moved to Juventus Stadium in the summer, but may find first-team opportunities hard to come by given the competition already in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has hinted that his former side’s lack of activity during the summer may have already ruled them out of the title race, the Daily Star report.
“It does not look like they are going to win the league like this,” he said.
Another Gunners hero Ray Parlour has also criticised the club’s decision to not go out and spend any money in the final days of the window, and believes that it could prove to be a defining moment in Arsene Wenger’s reign, the Daily Mirror report.
“They had Ozil two years ago, Sanchez last season and it just didn’t happen,” he said.
“It will be interesting to see what happens with Arsenal because Wenger will be under pressure,” he added.
Reported Arsenal target Nabil Fekir may be about to miss out on a January move to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Lyon man suffered a serious knee injury while on international duty, and is set for a long spell on the sidelines.
Finally, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain started and Theo Walcott scored twice as England thrashed San Marino 6-0 to qualify for Euro 2016.
