Ajax consider sending back Arsenal striker for not being good enough

Dutch giants Ajax are said to be eyeing up a new striker in the January transfer window as Arsenal loanee Yaya Sanogo has not been good enough, according to the Metro.

The Eredivisie side reportedly sized up a bid for Danish forward Pione Sisto during the summer window, but ended up making a loan move for Sanogo instead as they were priced out of snapping up their initial target.

And according to Dutch publication Soccer News, the striker has struggled to cope with the demands of playing for Ajax and has been given until November to prove that a new forward is not needed at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Though Sanogo is meant to spend the entire campaign with Ajax, they could look to end it early and send him packing back to North London as soon as possible.
