Earlier this week Jose Mourinho was given the vote of confidence by Roman Abramovic and the Chelsea board (via Standard).
Picking up a report from the Daily Star, the club would owe the 52-year-old the whopping sum under the terms of his current contract.
Mourinho’s position has come under scrutiny lately, having overseen a terrible start to the campaign in which they have suffered defeat in four of their first eight Premier League games as well as falling short in the Champions League clash with Porto (via Metro).
However, thanks to the new four-year deal he penned in the summer that the Metro states is worth £10m-per-season, he would be entitled to a massive compensation package should the club opt to wield the axe.
