Aston Villa fans see the funny side?

Aston Villa fans have got little to smile about at the moment after a pitiful start to the season that has seen them enter December with just one Premier League win and five points in total.

The season has also seen a managerial change but, as yet, Tim Sherwood’s replacement Remi Garde has done little to improve the situation.

Garde had an encouraging start to his managerial reign at Villa Park with a 0-0 draw with Manchester City. However, this was followed by a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Everton and a 3-2 home defeat to newly promoted Watford. A draw at Southampton did little to avert the gloom.

On top of all of this, promising youngster Jack Grealish seems to be making more of an impression off the pitch than on it and Garde has relegated him to the sidelines, making him train with the U-21 squad.

Naturally, it’s not hard to find mention of Villa’s continuing plight on social media.
