The Blues also brought in USA international and New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga.
The 20-year-old had less than a year to run on his current contract with the MLS team and has a great desire to test himself overseas. The Red Bulls were left with little choice but to sell the defender now rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

Internationally, Miazga has represented the USA at the Under-18, Under-20 and Under-23 levels. He took part in the 2015 Under-20 World Cup, in which the Americans fell in the quarterfinals to eventual champions Serbia.
Miazga made his senior international debut last November in a World Cup qualifier against St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Gary Cahill wants to leave Chelsea. I mean, he’s nowhere near Scott Dann, but I’d still love him at Selhurst Park. Someone make the call.
