Gary Cahill has a lot of suitors waiting for him [Tweets]

Gray Cahill has been out of favour at Stamford Bridge since the arrival of manager Guss Hiddink.

The Dutchman’s insistence on playing John Terry and Kurt Zouma at the centre of his defence has left Cahill frustrated at the lack of playing opportunities and recent reports, as this one by The Guardian, have suggested that the English defender is looking for a way out.

The Blues also brought in USA international and New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga.

The 20-year-old had less than a year to run on his current contract with the MLS team and has a great desire to test himself overseas. The Red Bulls were left with little choice but to sell the defender now rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

The Daily Mail reported that the transfer fee is situated around £3.4 million million. Miazga also possesses a Polish passport, meaning he will not have to obtain a work permit.

Internationally, Miazga has represented the USA at the Under-18, Under-20 and Under-23 levels. He took part in the 2015 Under-20 World Cup, in which the Americans fell in the quarterfinals to eventual champions Serbia.

Miazga made his senior international debut last November in a World Cup qualifier against St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

As soon as the rumours emerged considering Cahill’s possible departure, the fans from various clubs have already started urging their teams to sign the player.
