Premier League giants facing surprise competition for Belgian star striker

Michy Batshuayi is a wanted man. All Premier League giants are interested in the Belgian striker, who are now facing competition from West Ham, as reported by the The Sun.

According to the Sun‘s Duncan Wright, scouts have been watching the 22-year-old for some time now, and the Hammers are confident they can beat Arsenal and Tottenham to the player thanks to their great relationship with Marseille, Batshuayi’s current club.

Last summer, the Ligue 1 side sold star midfielder Dimitri Payet to West Ham, which has strengthened the Hammers’ believe to land the Belgian international, as they are on good terms with agent Mark McKay.

They’re hoping a £20 million bid will do (despite Marseille asking £25m), attempting to conclude a deal before the end of the season and avoiding a bidding war with their Premier League rivals during the summer.

Batshuayi is enjoying a breakout season in Ligue 1 and has already registered 12 goals and seven assists in 21 league starts for l’OM.

According to The Daily Mail, also Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in the Belgian’s services.
