Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez has been touted to leave Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
Spanish publication Sport claims that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has asked the club’s board to make an approach for Jese. The German believes that the Spanish striker could prove to be a perfect solution for the Reds’ goal scoring problems in future.
The 22-year old has seemed to have given up on his dream to carve out a future at his current club and is ready to move out of Bernabeu in search of playing opportunities.
Jese, who progressed through the Madrid youth ranks, has managed only four league starts this season.
Various clubs, including the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Napoli have expressed their interest in the services of the player in the past.
Real Madrid reportedly value their player at £23.2 million and Liverpool are ready to meet the valuation.
Jese has been playing with Madrid since he was 14 years old. Since his debut for the senior squad in the 2010/2011 season, he has scored ten goals in 49 league appearances for the club.
