Manchester United are contemplating an offer from a Chinese club for their skipper Wayne Rooney, according to latest reports.
Manchester
The England captain could earn at least £500,000-a-week if he decides to move to China.
Rooney has spent last 12 years of his career at Old Trafford and remains the most marketable player for the Red Devils.
However, recently United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward claimed that China could prove to be a useful market to sell players.
He said: “If nothing else, it [Chinese Super League] is another useful market if we’re looking to sell any players.”
Rooney is currently ruled out with a knee ligament injury for at least six weeks. His absence has dealt a serious blow to Louis Van Gaal’s hopes of leading United to a top-four finish.
Meanwhile, some United fans think that selling Rooney to a Chinese club could prove to be a smart move for the club.
If we sold Rooney to China i’m sorry but that would be awesome. Them idiots would pay 100m for Rooney.
He’s not what he once was. Cash in

If a Chinese side offered £20m plus for a 30 year old Rooney.
Would you take it?
I would….#MUFC

If the Chinese want to offer crazy money for Rooney then we should bite their hands off. Although I wouldn’t give LVG the money to spend.
